Required Skills:

 

  • Knowledge of different hair types and textures.

  • Ability to use various cutting tools, such as scissors, clippers, and razors.

  • Understanding of hair coloring, including techniques such as highlighting and lowlighting.

  • Ability to advise clients on hair care and maintenance, including recommending products and styling techniques.

  •  

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently, especially in a busy barbershop environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both with clients and with other staff members.

  • Ability to build a rapport with clients and create a positive, welcoming atmosphere in the barbershop.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including sanitation and disinfection practices.

  • Business acumen, including the ability to manage appointments, handle money, and market the barbershop effectively.

  • Flexibility to adapt to new styles and trends in hair fashion.

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to listen to clients and understand their needs.
